How JesusVoter corrects a score

This page is the process. It is not a second copy of how we score. The rubric stays there. The card in your hand is how to read a JesusVoter card. Here is what happens when you think a number is wrong, and what will not happen even if you are angry.

We are independent editorial — see About — not a campaign committee and not a party HQ. When we get something wrong, we correct from public evidence and we say so. We do not invent winners. We do not edit a card because someone is angry. We score what a voter can verify.

How to ask

Write hello@jesusvoter.com — the same address as on Contact. Send a campaign page, a news story, a questionnaire, a recorded vote, or another named source we can open. A URL, a PDF, a dated clip, a roll-call. Something a second voter can check without taking your word for a private conversation.

Tell us the office, the name as it prints on the sample ballot, and the bar you think is off. “Christian is too low” is a start. “Here is the campaign page that says Christ is King, dated June, still live” is a request we can work. “I go to church with him” is not.

Private faith, a kind email, or a claim we cannot check does not by itself change a number. We already say that on About. A pastor’s testimony that never appears in public materials does not become a 40 Christian score. A relative’s story about a kind vote in caucus does not become a 20 GOP score. A threat to “expose” us does not become a bulk letter upgrade.

What we accept

Typical stack, same as the rubric: Ballotpedia and county Supervisor lists for identity; campaign sites for the words the candidate chose to run on; named news; questionnaires; recorded votes. If you send a source in that stack that we missed, we open it. If it changes the public trail, we change the card and we say so.

A new endorsement can move a badge. Badges are filters, not extra points — see callout badges explained — except that a real MAHA or medical-freedom record can also raise Constitution. A slogan about “healthy kids” cannot. A formal Trump gubernatorial endorsement is a badge fact. A lawn sign that says MAGA is not the same fact.

A recorded vote can move a bar. A press release that restates the party platform usually cannot. We do not write fake quotes. We do not treat a church-membership line as a finished faith grid. We do not treat voter-file party as a 20 GOP score by itself.

What we refuse

We do not bulk-upgrade letters. A county with dozens of school-board names will not all become grade A because a club asked us to “take them seriously.” Honesty over volume. A thin trail stays thin. Front- of-field statewide and mayor races get the deep dig when the trail exists. The rest stay at the depth we actually did.

F is a placeholder, not a slightly worse D. If a card is watermarked F, we have not finished a numeric score. Do not mentally convert that hole to a mid- band triple. Do not ask us to “at least give them a D” so the letter looks less unfinished. Vote the official style. Treat our card as a hole until we publish numbers.

We do not invent winners. August 18 nominated. November 3 is the remaining statewide style. An email that says “just put the nominee up” from a screenshot of a partial precinct is a request we will refuse.

We do not pretty up a stamp. If several named Republicans in the same House primary share one triple, that is an honest inventory fact, not a failure to flatter each surname. See U.S. House 2026 values. We do not invent a unique 29 / 23 / 16 for a name the live card left at 26 / 20 / 15 C.

We do not print a banned fingerprint to “fix” a thin county. If you mention Lafayette School Board District 3 at all, the live file is Mary Anne McCray and Mark Beach, both letter D, both labeled thin. We will not reprint a numeric stamp for that pair here, and we will not replace it with a prettier mid-band. Names and letter only.

Letter is depth. Bars are values. That is the usual fight.

Most correction mail is not “you have the wrong person.” It is “the letter feels rude” or “the letter feels too kind.” Those are two different mistakes. The short recap — not a second rubric — is 45 Christian + 35 Constitution + 20 GOP = 100. The letter tells you how deep the trail is. A–D are finished depths. F is unfinished.

Ashley B. Moody is 33 / 29 / 20 · Grade C on the live Senate special card. High numbers on a public conservative record. Letter C because that card is not the deepest memo in the file. Angela Nixon is 0 / 3 / 0 · Grade C. Same letter. The bars are not. Do not ask us to raise Moody to A because the 33 is high. Do not ask us to raise Nixon into the mid-30s because the research was real. The Senate essay already live is U.S. Senate special 2026 values.

Orange School Board District 3 is the other warning, already live on school boards. Susanne Marie Pena is 20 / 14 / 6 · Grade A on the live file. If you write us to “fix” Pena’s letter down because you dislike the bars, you are asking us to collapse depth into values. We will not.

Judges can wear letter A with a mid Christian bar because canons limit Gospel-issue campaigning. That is not a scoring error. It is why judicial cards are different. Do not write us to demand a 40 Christian score for a judge who cannot run that platform.

What a correction looks like when we do it

If we were wrong, we change the public card and we say so — usually in the notes on that card, not in a press release. A voter should be able to see the new triple and the source that moved it. We do not quietly slide a 28 to a 34 because a consultant called. We do not announce a “values win” for a campaign that sent a link.

Sometimes the honest correction is “we looked, and the trail is still thin.” That is a D that stays D, or an F that stays F. Sometimes the honest correction is a one-point Constitution move after a real health-freedom document appears. Sometimes it is removing a badge that was never a formal endorsement. None of those require us to rewrite the rubric.

Civic facts do not change because a score fight is loud. Florida’s primary is generally closed. Book-closing for this primary was July 20, 2026. Mail must be received by Election Day.
