Florida U.S. House 2026: how to use this guide on a congressional style
Florida has 28 U.S. House seats. This is one essay, not 28 district pages. We quote named live cards from the Florida guide for seven districts — FL-6, FL-7, FL-8, FL-9, FL-11, FL-15, and FL-18 — and we stop. We do not invent the missing districts. If your official style is FL-3 or FL-22 and you do not see a named card here, the honest answer is that we have not published a finished named memo for that seat on this page.
August 18 nominated. November 3, 2026 is the remaining statewide House style. We quote the names still on the November 3 general ballot. We will not reprint a primary loser as if that oval is still live. Rubric: how we score. Card habits: how to read a card. Independent editorial — see About — not a party HQ.
ZIP is not district. The sample ballot is.
Our ZIP box estimates county and sometimes suggests a House district. That guess is a door, not a legal assignment. Two houses on the same Orlando ZIP can sit in different districts after the 2026 map. A Polk address can be FL-15 or FL-18. A Lake address can be FL-6 or FL-11. Write the district number and the names on your Supervisor of Elections PDF, then search those names. Walkthrough: how to read a Florida sample ballot. Civic rules: how to vote and closed primary.
Book-closing for this primary was July 20, 2026. Mail must be received by Election Day. Only registered Republicans generally vote a Republican House primary. Only registered Democrats generally vote a Democratic House primary. NPA voters typically do not pick those nominees. Florida’s ZIP guide is /fl. Texas is /tx. Other states are not finished publisher pages.
FL-6: Fine, Yonce, Parrott, Gist
Live November 3 cards for FL-6, quoted from the Florida guide:
Randy Fine (R) 29 / 27 / 19 · Grade B. Institutional GOP House incumbent path. Highest GOP number in this four-name field. Do not discard the 29 Christian bar because you wanted an A. Letter B is depth, not a claim that Fine is the only conservative on the style.
Andrew Parrott (L) 32 / 29 / 7 · Grade B. Highest Christian and Constitution bars on this FL-6 card. GOP 7. Same letter as Fine. If you sort only by letter you will miss the 32-versus-29 Christian gap and the 19-versus-7 GOP gap. Use the bars for values. Use the letter for depth.
Eric Yonce (D) 4 / 6 / 0 · Grade B. Democratic November name. No Jesus / GOP alignment on this card.
Michael Gist (NPA) 4 / 21 / 6 · Grade B. Non-party November name. Constitution 21 is the distinctive bar versus Yonce’s 6. Confirm the NPA line on your sample ballot; ZIP is not district.
Dan Bilzerian is not on the November 3 general ballot in the live file. We will not reprint a primary-only card as if that oval is still live. Same habit as Ashley B. Moody 33 / 29 / 20 · Grade C on the special Senate card — high bars, letter C because that memo is not the deepest in the file — on how we score. Orange School Board District 3 still has Susanne Marie Pena 20 / 14 / 6 · Grade A on the live file; school boards is the essay. A prettier letter is not a higher Jesus bar.
FL-9, FL-11, FL-7, FL-8, FL-15, FL-18
FL-9. Darren Soto (D, incumbent) 0 / 2 / 0 · Grade B. Dan Green (R) 30 / 26 / 18 · Grade B. Soto has no Jesus / GOP alignment on this card. Green is the Republican November name. Carey Baker and Thomas Chalifoux are not on the November 3 general ballot in the live file. We will not reprint those primary cards as if the ovals are still live.
FL-11. Joe Strada (R) 4 / 21 / 18 · Grade B. James Pericola (D) 4 / 6 / 0 · Grade B. Ralph Groves (L) 23 / 25 / 0 · Grade B. Groves holds the highest Christian and Constitution bars in this three-name field. GOP is 0 on Groves and Pericola; Strada is 18. Same letter on all three. Read the bars.
FL-7. Ryan Elijah (R) 30 / 26 / 18 · Grade C. Bale Dalton (D) 0 / 6 / 0 · Grade C. Christopher Dennison (L) 4 / 18 / 0 · Grade C. Cory Lee Mills and Alan Grayson are not on the November 3 general ballot in the live file.
FL-8. Mike Haridopolos (R) 29 / 27 / 18 · Grade B. Jennifer Jenkins (D) 0 / 3 / 0 · Grade B. Named cards, not composite placeholders. Confirm the Space Coast PDF on votebrevard.gov.
FL-15. Laurel Lee (R, incumbent) 29 / 27 / 18 · Grade B. Robert People (D) 0 / 2 / 0 · Grade B. Angie Boone is not on the November 3 general ballot in the live file.
FL-18. Scott Franklin (R, incumbent) 30 / 26 / 18 · Grade B. Curtis Gibson (D) 0 / 3 / 0 · Grade B. Deva Simmons (NPA) 4 / 3 / 0 · Grade B. Franklin’s triple is one point of Christian and one of Constitution off Lee’s FL-15 card. We do not invent a gap to make those two incumbents look independently sculpted. Confirm the NPA line on the sample ballot.
What we refuse to invent
We do not quote a primary loser as a November oval. We do not dress a missing district up as a person.
We do not invent the other twenty-plus districts. A church in Miami-Dade or the Panhandle should not treat this essay as a hidden 28-seat encyclopedia. Statewide context — governor, cabinet, Attorney General — lives on governor, cabinet, and Attorney General. The Senate special is mentioned in prose on those pages and on how we score. We do not href a Senate essay that is not in this wave.
Judges are a different office. Canons limit Jesus-named campaigning. That is Florida judicial races, not a House score.
A one-pass habit for a House style
1. Official PDF by full address. Read the district number the Supervisor printed. 2. Names on that PDF only. Ignore a card for a district you do not vote. 3. November 3 is a general style. Party blocks still print; closed-primary nomination is over. 4. Sort those names by Christian, then Constitution, then GOP. 5. Read the letter so you know how deep the trail is. Fine B versus Parrott B is the warning: same letter, different bars. 6. If several names share one letter, still read the bars. Do not invent a unique memo to break a tie. 7. If your district is not among the seven named above, vote the official style. Treat our missing card as a hole, not as a secret ranking.
