ZIP helper (ballot is by address / precinct) Your real ballot is by full address and precinct. ZIP is approximate. Statewide races load for every Florida ZIP; county and district races load when you look up a ZIP or pick a county. Always verify with your county sample ballot. Your ZIP can cover more than one city or school district — confirm measures on your sample ballot.

A guide for Floridians who put faith, family, and freedom first. Scores prioritize the Christian score, then the Constitution score (liberty & limited government under the U.S. Constitution), then the GOP score. Tap the ⓘ next to each score bar for what counts. Enter your ZIP, pick a county, or search a name to narrow races — then confirm on your county sample ballot. The general election is Tuesday, November 3, 2026.

Pull up a chair. Here’s what we actually think.

Same honesty as the cards: we don’t invent winners, and a win doesn’t raise a number. Pick a state in the header for that state’s ZIP lookup and candidate list.

Default ticket is the November 3 general (TX-shaped). Primary Winner/Lost stamps live in the Aug 18 archive picker only. A stamp is not a score. Numbers live on the card.

After August 18: what November 3 still decides

Only three statewide amendments are certified for Florida’s 2026 ballot (as of August 2026): homestead tax relief, the rainy-day fund, and an agricultural equipment exemption. This tab also tracks major proposals that did not qualify. Most amendments hit the November general. Always confirm with your SOE sample ballot. Amendment 3 — Increased Homestead Exemption; Lower Cap on Increases in Non-Homestead Property Assessments

Constitutional amendment (legislatively referred) · November 3, 2026 general election (needs 60% yes) — confirm on your sample ballot

Guide: YES

Certified statewide for November 3, 2026 (needs 60% yes). Ballot title (AG rewrite after Leon County court order, Aug 2026): INCREASED HOMESTEAD EXEMPTION; LOWER CAP ON INCREASES IN NON-HOMESTEAD PROPERTY ASSESSMENTS. Raises the non-school homestead exemption to about $150,000 in 2027 and $250,000 in 2028 (then inflation-linked); phases a smaller exemption for people who were not Florida residents on Dec 31, 2026 until year five; cuts the annual assessment-growth cap on many non-homestead properties from 10% to 5% (school-tax carve-outs); limits how counties/cities may spend property-tax revenue (public safety, education, infrastructure, natural resources/flood control, bonds/debt service, employee retirement, operations). DeSantis-backed HJR 1 from the June 2026 special session. Legislative staff estimate large local-revenue hits. Confirm exact ballot text on your sample ballot.

A YES vote means Much larger non-school homestead exemption over two years; tighter caps on non-homestead assessment growth; constitutional limits on local property-tax spending categories; residency-related rules for full benefit of the new exemption.
A NO vote means Keep today’s smaller homestead structure and existing 10% non-homestead assessment-growth cap and local spending flexibility under current law.

Why this guide leans this way: Strong Constitution score (property rights, limited local tax bloat) and GOP/DeSantis free-state fiscal agenda. Christian score is moderate (stewardship/homeownership for families), not a doctrine-specific faith amendment. Highest-priority statewide measure for this guide’s stack among the three certified items. Ballot title is the court-ordered AG rewrite — substance unchanged.

Budget Stabilization Fund Expansion Amendment

Constitutional amendment (legislatively referred) · November 2026 general cycle — confirm with SOE

Guide: LEAN YES

Legislatively referred amendment to raise how much of net general revenue Florida may keep in the budget stabilization (“rainy day”) fund — from 10% to 25% — and related fund rules. Fiscal-reserve discipline measure; not the DeSantis property-tax package.

A YES vote means Larger allowable rainy-day reserve; more fiscal buffer against downturns.
A NO vote means Keep the 10% stabilization-fund ceiling.

Why this guide leans this way: Constitution & GOP fiscal conservatism: rainy-day discipline over spend-it-all budgeting. Not a core faith issue. Secondary to Amendment 3 for pocketbook impact.

Agricultural Tangible Personal Property Tax Exemption

Constitutional amendment (legislatively referred) · November 2026 general cycle — confirm with SOE

Guide: YES

Would exempt agricultural and agritourism-related tangible personal property (e.g., farm equipment/tools) from property taxes. Legislature-referred; rural/ag tax relief — especially relevant in Polk County.

A YES vote means Tax relief for farms and agritourism operations on equipment/tools.
A NO vote means Keep current taxation of agricultural tangible personal property.

Why this guide leans this way: Strong Constitution score: protects productive private property, family farms, and rural enterprise. Mild Christian affinity via stewardship/family-farm culture. GOP rural base aligned. Highly relevant to Polk agriculture.

Prayer / Religious Expression in Schools Initiatives (multiple proposals)

Citizen initiatives / LRCA proposals · NOT certified for 2026 (failed signature / process hurdles)

Guide: WOULD HAVE BEEN YES

Several proposals sought daily non-denominational prayer in K–12, or constitutional protection for student/staff religious expression in public schools. None of these appear among the three certified 2026 amendments.

A YES vote means Would have expanded explicit prayer / religious expression protections in public schools.
A NO vote means Status quo: existing Florida parental-rights and free-exercise rules without a new constitutional prayer amendment.

Why this guide leans this way: Highest Christian-priority measures proposed this cycle — but they are NOT on your ballot. Support similar legislation and school-board candidates who protect religious expression.

Adult-Use Marijuana Legalization Initiative

Citizen constitutional initiative · NOT certified for 2026

Guide: WOULD HAVE BEEN NO / LEAN NO

Would have legalized recreational marijuana for adults 21+ with public-use limits and business licensing. Did not make the certified statewide ballot list.

A YES vote means Statewide adult-use legalization framework.
A NO vote means Keep current Florida medical/limited framework without full adult-use legalization via this measure.

Why this guide leans this way: Weak Christian alignment (family/public-health concerns common in this guide’s base). Mixed Constitution score (liberty vs. social order). Not on ballot anyway.

County Commissioner & School Board Term Limits Amendment

Legislatively referred proposal · NOT among the three certified 2026 amendments

Guide: WOULD HAVE BEEN LEAN YES

Would have set eight-year consecutive term limits for county commissioners and school board members (with specified start dates). Not on the certified list of three.

A YES vote means Hard term limits for local commissioners and school boards.
A NO vote means No new statewide constitutional term limits for those offices via this amendment.

Why this guide leans this way: Constitution localism and anti-career-politician instinct. School boards especially matter for Christian education priorities.

Commissioner of Government Efficiency Cabinet Post (proposed)

Legislatively referred proposal · NOT certified for 2026

Guide: WOULD HAVE BEEN LEAN YES (with design caveats)

Would have created a cabinet-level Commissioner of Government Efficiency and repealed the Lt. Governor office (with transition rules). Explicit DOGE-style state structure. Not among certified amendments.

A YES vote means Constitutional DOGE-like efficiency officer in Florida cabinet.
A NO vote means Keep Lt. Governor and existing efficiency task-force structure.

Why this guide leans this way: Strong Musk/DOGE callout and Constitution fiscal restraint. Structural details (killing Lt. Gov) deserve caution — but efficiency priority is aligned.

Eliminate Non-School Homestead Property Taxes (proposed)

Legislatively referred proposal · NOT certified for 2026

Guide: WOULD HAVE BEEN LEAN YES (fiscal design risks)

A more aggressive proposal than Amendment 3: wipe non-school property taxes on homestead properties while barring local cuts to law-enforcement / first-responder total funding. Did not become the certified Amendment 3 text.

A YES vote means Major homestead tax elimination for non-school millage.
A NO vote means Keep current local taxing structure (aside from certified Amendment 3 path).

Why this guide leans this way: Homeowner relief is Constitution/GOP-aligned; mandating LE funding levels complicates pure limited-government purity. Amendment 3 is the actual DeSantis vehicle on the ballot.

Values alignment if YES: Christian 16 / 45 · Constitution 30 / 35 · GOP 14 / 20

Top-Two Open Primaries for State Offices Initiative

Citizen initiative · NOT certified for 2026

Guide: WOULD HAVE BEEN NO

Would have created California-style top-two open primaries for governor, cabinet, and state legislators. Did not make the ballot.

A YES vote means Open top-two system; party primaries largely replaced.
A NO vote means Keep Florida’s closed party primary system.

Why this guide leans this way: Weakens party primaries that Christian/conservative voters use to nominate aligned candidates. Bad for this guide’s strategy stack.

Values alignment if YES: Christian 10 / 45 · Constitution 8 / 35 · GOP 4 / 20

How to vote

Florida uses a closed primary for party nominations. Always use your county sample ballot — House district lines changed in 2026.

Official results, ballot styles, and precinct info come only from your Supervisor of Elections and the Florida Division of Elections — not this guide.

How scoring works

Transparent priorities. Higher weight means more influence on the 0–100 values score. The letter on a card is that total: 90–100 A · 80–89 B · 70–79 C · 60–69 D · 59 and under F. Callouts for Trump and Musk are badges, not extra points — so you can filter them without double-counting party loyalty.

Christian score 45 pts

Highest priority · faith & family policy

  • Explicit public faith in Jesus Christ (weighted heaviest)
  • Campaign/public life that centers Christ, Scripture & church
  • Pro-life / protection of the unborn
  • Religious liberty & conscience rights
  • Parental rights in education
  • Traditional marriage & family policy
  • Opposition to gender ideology in schools/sports
  • Conduct: not quarrelsome; correct opponents with gentleness (2 Timothy 2:24–25). Destroy arguments against the knowledge of God (2 Corinthians 10:5) — that is not a license to be mean. Opened mean campaigning is a slight dock (−1 to −3), never a zero
  • Legislative votes help — but outspoken Christian identity beats quiet institutional conservatism

Constitution score 35 pts

Second priority · U.S. Constitution & liberty
(formerly labeled “paleo-conservative” — same ideas, clearer name)

  • Limited federal government & local control
  • Secure borders / immigration enforcement
  • Skepticism of endless foreign wars
  • Free enterprise; caution on globalist trade deals
  • Reading the Constitution as written
  • Protecting American culture & institutions from radical ideology
  • Fiscal restraint / low taxes
  • Health freedom / MAHA — live free of coercive government health & food policy; your family chooses

GOP score 20 pts

Third priority · Republican Party alignment

  • Republican Party registration / nomination
  • GOP platform & party organization alignment
  • Conservative legislative voting record
  • Support from mainstream Republican institutions

🦅 Trump callout

Shown when a candidate has a formal Trump endorsement, explicit MAGA / Trump-agenda campaigning, or a clear Trump-world alliance. Use the filter chip to show only these candidates. Does not add score points on its own.

🍊 DeSantis callout

Shown for candidates who preserve or advance Governor Ron DeSantis’s Florida agenda (parental rights, anti-DEI, free speech, free-state legislation) or who served as DeSantis-era partners (Lt. Gov, Speaker, AG, SoS). Badge only — does not add to the 100-point total. Can overlap with Trump and/or Musk callouts.

🚀 Musk callout

Shown when a candidate is positive toward Elon Musk and/or his companies (Tesla, SpaceX, X free-speech ethos, DOGE-style efficiency, Florida commercial space). Trump-aligned alone is not enough (they have publicly clashed). Badge only — no automatic score points. Filter with the Musk-aligned chip on Candidates.

🥗 MAHA callout

Make America Healthy Again — clear MAHA Institute / MAHA Commission leadership, Stand for Health Freedom–style medical freedom, or campaign food-system integrity (farm loopholes, healthy food, chemical-ag skepticism). Not automatic for every conventional farmer. Counts twice: 🥗 badge for filtering and raises the Constitution score (liberty from coercive health/food policy). Filter with the MAHA chip on Candidates.

Important: This guide is editorial and values-based — not neutral journalism and not an official election authority. Scores use public records, Ballotpedia, campaign statements, and voting history where available. Always verify with your sample ballot and county Supervisor of Elections.

How current is this guide?

Candidate lists, scores, and notes are reviewed against public sources (Ballotpedia, campaign materials, county Supervisors of Elections, and news reporting). Ballots can change — always confirm with your official sample ballot before voting.

ZIP codes & sample ballots

ZIP lookup only estimates county and possible U.S. House districts. School board and county commission seats are by district inside the county — ZIP alone cannot pick the correct one. Official ballots are by precinct / full address. Use your Supervisor of Elections “sample ballot” tool for certainty: Orange · Osceola · Polk · All 67 county SOEs.

Florida Primary 2026 — free values voter guide

JesusVoter (jesusvoter.com) is an independent editorial Florida voter guide for the 2026 cycle. The statewide primary was Tuesday, August 18, 2026. The next statewide date is the general election on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. We cover all 67 Florida counties: Governor, the U.S. Senate special, cabinet races, certified amendments, and deep local primary fields for county commission, school board, mayor, and other contests drawn from public sources such as Ballotpedia, campaign sites, news, and Supervisors of Elections. Always verify names on your county sample ballot. This is not the government, not a party headquarters, and not your legal ballot.

The mission is simple: help voters who put faith, family, and freedom first compare a long Florida ballot without guessing. We are openly values-based. We do not pretend to be neutral wire news. We also do not invent winners or treat a ZIP code as a precinct. Who runs the site, how to send a correction, and what we refuse to be are written on the About page.

How the 45 / 35 / 20 scores work

Every scored candidate receives three numbers that add to 100. Christian / faith policy is 45 points — the highest weight — and looks first for explicit public faith in Jesus Christ, then pro-life policy, religious liberty, parental rights, and family policy. Constitution & liberty is 35 points (limited government, borders, original meaning, fiscal restraint, and health freedom). GOP alignment is 20 points — party and platform, not a claim that every Republican is righteous. The written rubric is How we score. The letter on a card is the 100-point total (90–100 A, 80–89 B, 70–79 C, 60–69 D, 59 and under F). Honesty beats volume: a thin trail stays thin.

Callout badges (not extra points)

Optional badges mark Trump, DeSantis, Musk, and MAHA (Make America Healthy Again). They are filters so you can find a formal endorsement or a health-freedom record without double-counting party loyalty. Badges do not add points to the 100-point total. The one related effect: a real MAHA / medical-freedom record can also raise the Constitution score, because coercive health policy is a liberty question. A slogan is not enough. Full explanation: Trump, DeSantis, Musk, and MAHA badges.
