Brevard County · Space Coast · November 3, 2026 general
Brevard County November 3, 2026 general voter guide
Brevard is the Space Coast: Titusville and the Kennedy Space Center / Cape Canaveral complex on the north end, the Canaveral Port Authority and cruise/cargo piers in the middle, Melbourne and Palm Bay down the barrier-island and mainland south, and the Indian River Lagoon as the water that every commission race eventually mentions. It is not Orange County (Orlando) and it is not Volusia (Daytona). Federal House lines here are the FL-8 Space Coast district — confirm that on your sample ballot; ZIP is only approximate.
Space-industry growth, port leases, homeowner taxes, data-center incentives, impact fees, and lagoon stewardship are the local policy language on the Brevard file. School Board District 2 is the parental-rights three-way. County Commission District 1 is a four-way Republican primary for north Brevard / Titusville. District 4 is a two-way Republican commission race. Titusville and Palm Bay each have contested council seats. Port Authority District 3 is a Republican pair about whether the port stays self-funded.

How to read the scores on this Space Coast page
Scores print as Christian / Constitution / GOP The letter on a card is the 100-point total (90–100 A, 80–89 B, 70–79 C, 60–69 D, 59 and under F). Port Authority cards can sit at Christian 13 with a real tax-skeptic Constitution number. That is the opened Florida Today / campaign-site record (leases, infrastructure, no-new homeowner taxes) — not a faith campaign we declined to invent. District-limited commission, school-board, city, and port seats appear only for voters in that district.
Statewide races on every Brevard ballot (with scores)
A Titusville or Palm Bay Republican still votes the same open governor’s primary as the rest of Florida. DeSantis is term-limited. The four GOP names we print with live scores here are the values-guide top of that field, not a Space Coast straw poll.
Governor of Florida — Republican primary scores
- James Fishback (R) — 41 / 35 / 15 A
- Paul Renner (R) — 36 / 33 / 19 B
- Byron Donalds (R) — 36 / 29 / 20 B
- Jay Collins (R) — 34 / 32 / 19 B
Fishback is the high Christian/Constitution pair in this statewide set. Donalds holds the 20 GOP-alignment mark. Renner and Collins sit in the mid-30s Christian with 19 GOP. Democratic scores and the rest of the field are in the interactive Brevard guide.
U.S. Senate (Special) — Republican score we print here
- Ashley B. Moody (R) — 42 / 28 / 20 A
Special Senate, not the regular class. Moody’s 42 Christian is the Senate mark we print on this page; Confirm the line on your VoteBrevard sample ballot.

Titusville City Council Seat 1
North-end city race in the same Space Coast city that sits next to Kennedy Space Center. The opened Florida Today package sorts this field on military / first-responder résumés versus environmental and Dem-aligned challenger brands — not a Jesus grid.
- Herman A. Cole (NPA) — 26 / 21 / 12 F. No continuous Jesus grid in the Florida Today package; incumbent + long military service — mid-high band. Incumbent + extensive military/civic boards — strongest institutional Constitution signal in the Seat 1 field.
- John Dacko (NPA) — 24 / 20 / 12 F. No continuous Jesus grid; fire/EMS career — mid-high public-service band. Career first-responder — strong public-order Constitution signal, slightly below the multi-decade military incumbent stack.
- Elizabeth Baker (NPA) — 17 / 15 / 7 F. No continuous Jesus grid; environmental-advocacy challenger — modest mid-low band. Environmentalist challenger brand — mid-low Constitution relative to military/first-responder profiles.
- Darcia Bair (NPA) — 16 / 13 / 5 F. No continuous Jesus grid; mom-community organizer with Dem endorsement signal — lower Christian band for this guide. Progressive/Dem-aligned municipal challenger — lower Constitution than military/LE profiles.
Brevard School Board District 2
Highest-stakes school-board values race on the Brevard landing. Gene Trent is the parental-rights card (30 / 26 / 15, public C). Kyle Savage and Kelly Wentworth sit at F with union-backed or Dem-aligned notes. District voters only.
- Gene Trent (NPA) — 30 / 26 / 15 C. No continuous Jesus campaign; Moms for Liberty / parental-rights alignment is a strong culture signal for this guide. Clearest conservative/parental-rights profile in the D2 three-way. Values-guide top pick.
- Kyle Savage (NPA) — 16 / 16 / 8 F. No Jesus grid; union-backed challenger brand. FEA/BFT endorsement is a progressive-education signal for this guide. Below Trent on the parental-rights axis.
- Kelly Wentworth (NPA) — 16 / 14 / 6 F. No Jesus grid. Dem-aligned first-time candidate; lowest GOP/Constitution of the three.
Palm Bay City Council Seat 4
Empty Jesus trail on all three. Christian 4 is the empty-trail band. Forced-NPA is not GOP points.
- Michael J. Bruyette (NPA) — 4 / 6 / 2 F. No Jesus grid. R-registered challenger; occupation is not a Gospel campaign. Small Constitution crumb from a named accountability / police-lawsuit interview. GOP 2 from R registration.
- Kenny Johnson (NPA) — 4 / 6 / 0 F. No Jesus grid. Incumbent, Dem-registered per Blue Voter Guide. Small Constitution crumb from Palm Bayer ALPR limits and developer concurrency. GOP 0.
- Alfy Agarie (NPA) — 4 / 4 / 0 F. No Jesus grid. Dem-endorsed challenger — that is not a Pride/DEI zero. No opened liberty grid. GOP 0.
Palm Bay City Council Seat 5
Empty Jesus trail on all three. Completing a local assessment is not a Gospel campaign and not a liberty grid.
- Eduardo Macaya (NPA) — 4 / 4 / 0 F. No Jesus grid. Assessment engagement only. No opened liberty grid. GOP 0: forced-NPA.
- Mike Jaffe (NPA) — 4 / 4 / 0 F. No Jesus grid. Sitting deputy mayor is not a Constitution brand. No opened liberty grid. GOP 0: forced-NPA.
- Santa Isabel Wright (NPA) — 4 / 4 / 0 F. No Jesus grid. Promoting Democratic candidates is not a Pride/DEI zero. Anti-overdevelopment mention is not a liberty grid. GOP 0.
Titusville City Council Seat 5
- Christopher Childs (NPA) — 23 / 20 / 12 F. No continuous Jesus grid in the Florida Today package; P&Z + business R-adjacency — mid-high band. P&Z leadership + tech business — highest Constitution signal in the Seat 5 field.
- David Hobart (NPA) — 22 / 19 / 11 F. No continuous Jesus grid; trades background + R social promotion — mid band. Trades/private-sector + R adjacency — mid Constitution.
- Kayla Manning (NPA) — 16 / 13 / 5 F. No continuous Jesus grid; Dem-registered municipal candidate — lower band for this guide. Progressive/Dem-adjacency municipal lane — lower Constitution than R-adjacent business/P&Z profiles.
Brevard County Board of County Commissioners District 4
- Adam Dyer (R) — 31 / 28 / 16 C. No continuous Jesus-named grid; firefighter + AF Reserve + deputy mayor public-service profile — high Christian-adjacency for county commission. Strongest questionnaire Constitution package in this pair: impact-fee discipline, fiscal caution on tax amendment, anti ratepayer cost-shift, lagoon stewardship. Slightly above incumbent Feltner who left the guide blank.
- Rob Feltner (R) — 28 / 26 / 15 D. No continuous Jesus grid; incumbent R commissioner — mid Christian-adjacency from party/office without a faith ministry brand. Millage restraint + anti data-center incentive votes are real Constitution/tax-discipline signals. Thinner public platform than Dyer — scores from named votes and outlets, not a filled questionnaire.
Canaveral Port Authority Commissioner Board District 3
This is a Space Coast-only office: the elected board that oversees Port Canaveral leases, cruise growth, and whether homeowners get asked to backfill port costs. Both cards sit at Christian 13 because the opened 2026 sites and Florida Today quotes are taxes, leases, and infrastructure — not Jesus-by-name.
- Gregory Loyd (R) — 13 / 22 / 18 F. Opened 2026 site and Florida Today are taxes, leases, and infrastructure. Not Jesus-by-name. No-new-homeowner-taxes / self-funded port is a real tax-skeptic plank for this office. GOP 18: R ballot + state committeeman + REC precinct committeeman. Not 20.
- Vincent Jackson (R) — 13 / 19 / 16 F. Opened 2026 survey and Florida Today quote are local-business and growth. Not Jesus-by-name. Local small business vs large corporations, responsible cruise growth, SR-528, IRL. Below Loyd because Jackson never said no new taxes / keep the Port self-funded. GOP 16: R ballot + Young Republicans.
Other commission seats, 18th Circuit Court races, and additional municipal contests can appear by precinct. If a race is not named above, it is not in this landing’s scored top-race set. Use VoteBrevard and the full Brevard guide.
