Duval County November 3, 2026 general voter guide

Jacksonville is the only consolidated city-county government among Florida’s big metros, so a Duval voter’s “city” ballot and “county” ballot are the same Supervisor of Elections file. That is not true in Pinellas (St. Petersburg plus a separate county commission) or Palm Beach (dozens of municipalities on their own calendars). If you live in Arlington, the Beaches, Southside, Northside, Westside, or downtown, you still vote in Duval County — not a standalone Jacksonville city election office. Naval Station Mayport, NAS Jacksonville, and the St. Johns River waterfront sit inside this same consolidated map.

This page is the JesusVoter values landing for that map. We score candidates on three published axes — Christian / faith policy (45), Constitution & liberty (35), and GOP alignment (20) — and we print the numbers here so a Jacksonville reader does not have to open the interactive app just to see who leads a school-board or county-court field. This is not an endorsement mill and it is not an official ballot.

Not an official ballot. Not published by any Supervisor of Elections or the Florida Division of Elections. Your legal ballot is by precinct and full residential address. Always verify with the Duval County Supervisor of Elections sample ballot tool.

Florida runs a closed primary. On Tuesday, August 18, 2026, a Republican ballot generally requires Republican registration, and a Democratic ballot generally requires Democratic registration. Nonpartisan Duval School Board and Duval County Court races can appear regardless of party. The general election is Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Book-closing / registration for this primary was July 20, 2026 — confirm any party-change timing with the SOE before you assume you will receive a partisan nomination ballot.

How to read the scores on this Jacksonville page

Every scored name below is printed as Christian / Constitution / GOP. The letter is that 100-point total (90–100 A, 80–89 B, 70–79 C, 60–69 D, 59 and under F). A high Christian number means a public faith or parental-rights grid we could document; a mid Constitution number can still sit next to a thin Jesus trail. The letter is not “electability.” We do not call winners. District-limited seats (school board, some commissions) appear only for voters in that district — ZIP is not enough; use the Duval sample ballot.

Statewide races on every Duval ballot (with scores)

Jacksonville Republicans share the same open governor’s primary as the rest of Florida. Ron DeSantis is term-limited. The four Republican names we publish with live scores on this landing are the values-guide top of that GOP field — not a prediction of who carries Duval or the Beaches. Democrats have their own closed primary; those names and scores live in the interactive guide.

Governor of Florida — Republican primary scores

Fishback is the high-water Christian/Constitution card in the statewide set we print here. Renner, Donalds, and Collins cluster in the mid-30s Christian with stronger GOP-alignment marks than Fishback’s 15. That spread matters if you weigh church/life language against party-institution alignment. Full fields, Democratic scores, and write-in notes are in the interactive Duval guide.

U.S. Senate (Special) — Republican score we print here

This is the special U.S. Senate election, not the regular-cycle Senate class. Moody’s 42 Christian is the highest Senate mark we print on this page; the C grade is research-depth, not a claim that the race is uncontested. Confirm the special-Senate line on your Duval sample ballot.

Local primary races on file for Duval (names + scores)

Fields below come from this guide’s compiled Duval file (public sources including Ballotpedia, Florida Politics, News4Jax, Jax Today, and Florida Family Action’s 2026 judicial listing). Lists can change. Treat duvalelections.com as authoritative. We do not invent winners.

Duval School Board District 6

Nonpartisan · five-way · district voters only

This is the largest school-board field on the Duval file — five names, all C-grade research, no Jesus-grid campaign among them. The practical values split is classroom-order and résumé (realtor, Navy, school police, paralegal, former Democratic city-council run), not a Gospel slate.

Duval School Board District 2

Nonpartisan · Beaches / East Arlington / Southside · district voters only

Open conservative-leaning district after outgoing conservative April Carney. This is the only Duval school-board card on this landing with a Christian number in the high 30s.

Duval School Board District 4

Nonpartisan · district voters only

Jax Today described an all-Democrat/educator D4 field. Scores stay in the low-20s Christian band. There is no public parental-rights campaign in this three-way on our card.

Duval County Court Group 13

Nonpartisan judicial · countywide county court

Judicial canons block a full Jesus/Gospel campaign. The values-guide split on this card is whether Florida Family Action listed the candidate on its 2026 Judicial Primary guide (biblical-worldview vetting). That is a listing signal, not a sermon.

Duval County Court Group 1

Nonpartisan judicial · two-way

Florida 4th Circuit Court (Duval / Clay / Nassau) — unopposed groups on file

Nonpartisan judicial · unopposed listings

The 4th Circuit is the trial circuit that includes Jacksonville. These three groups are unopposed on our file. Medium-pass mid-band scores exist so the ballot is complete; there is no contested values comparison and no Jesus/Gospel campaign (canons).

Jacksonville City Council specials and other county-court groups can appear by precinct. If a race is not named above, it is not in this landing’s scored top-race set — check the SOE sample ballot and the full Duval guide.
