When the law erases mother and father
A New York bill would take the words mother and father out of state law. A Republican Assembly candidate put his Democratic opponent’s support for that bill on the record. Breitbart’s exclusive is the source. A form that will not say mother is not a neutral edit.
Mariane Angela’s write-up says Republican Assembly candidate Connor Dunleavy told Matt Boyle on Breitbart News Saturday that Democrat Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Lavine advanced bill S9316/A8382A out of committee onto the Assembly floor where the Democrat supermajority passed it. The bill would replace mother with gestating parent and father with non-gestating parent and change paternity to parentage across family law. It passed the Assembly in March cleared the state Senate in June and awaits a signature or veto from Gov. Kathy Hochul. Dunleavy said Lavine “is trying to ban moms and dads” and that the Glen Cove Democrat who has held the Nassau County seat since 2005 is out of step with a district that is not super far-left. Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman running for governor has called the gender-neutral parenting bill part of a Democrat “war on New York families.” That is not a branding fight. That is a legislature renaming the people God put in the nursery.
Being a Christian in America this week is refusing to let the state rename the family out from under the child. Keep the words. Keep the home. And do not confuse a midterm with the least of these.
